SF Giants Designated Hitter…Who Will it Be?

Who should be the Giants DH? Will it be Mike Yastrzemski, Evan Longoria, Hunter Pence, or maybe Kevin Pillar? Read this post and you will see my opinion on who should be the Giants DH.
Well, let’s start with facts. All of those players have power, but Posey and Sandoval are old, and if Posey gets the DH job, Bart can fill in for him at C. Sandoval would be a good DH with his power. You have to keep in mind that last year with the Rangers, Pence was going to be the starting DH for the AL in the All Star game if not for his injury. But he's had plenty of time to stretch it out and relax it and now he's back in SF so he would be a good DH. Posey is old and is still a good player. There's no harm in still having his bat in the lineup and letting him rest, but only if Bart does a good or even better job than Posey would have. I think with a little practice, he will be very capable in doing that. However, if you look at the stats from last year, Kevin Pillar was tied with Mike Yastrzemski in home runs with 21, leading the team and Yastrzemski also led the team in SLG% and Pillar led the team in RBIs. Evan Longoria was second in home runs with 20, and was second in RBIs with 69 to Pillar’s 87. They still might need Pillar´s speed in CF though.
So in conclusion, I think Kevin Pillar, Evan Longoria or Mike Yastremski could make a good DH for SF.
